TREE PLANTING
The trees are planted in forests across the world, by local farmers and villagers. We change the projects throughout the year, depending on who we’re working with the and current need.
Trees are planted as quickly as the planting seasons allow, to give the maximum chances of survival.
This is usually done within three months but certain projects and tree types can take longer.

CARBON OFFSETTING
The amount of carbon absorbed by a tree depends on the tree type, location and life.
Our tree planting partner plants mangroves – one of the most effective and economic methods of offsetting carbon emissions.
Each mangrove tree removes approximately 0.3 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere over its growth life – approximately 25 years. That equates to an estimated 0.012 tonnes per year.
Trees help healthy forests re-emerge, restoring animal habitats, purifying water sources, replenishing soil, controlling flooding and improving weather patterns.
